It's so hard to believe that it's finally here! Lilly officially turns 6 months old today! It seems like only yesterday that this beautiful baby came into our world and changed everything... our lives, our hearts, our worlds. She truly has been a great blessing in our lives, and she has brought joy to all who meet her. She is loved more than words can say and by so many.
Today we were able to have a 1/2 birthday party for Lilly. It started out as just dinner with my Uncle Tony and Uncle Paul, and turned into a full 1/2 birthday party with Uncle Tony, Uncle Paul, Ben, Alex, and Corban. We had my "gay" chicken with rice, cheese & broccoli, salad, sweet rolls, and a 1/2 birthday cake. I had not planned on giving Lilly any cake (she is only 6 months old) but after setting the cake in front of her to sing "Happy 1/2 Birthday to you" and having her reach out for the cake, I decided to go ahead and give her a piece. It brought quite humorous results. 
She dug into the cake like it was the most natural thing in the world! She only had about two very small bites; she was more interested in tearing the cake up into pieces! She sure seemed like she had fun doing it, though. I can't wait to see what her first birthday will be like! All in all, it was a wonderful evening. Miss Lillian Grace is a beautiful, sweet baby girl. She brings smiles to so many many people's faces; even complete strangers. I hope she keeps that sweet spirit and that sweet smile always with her as she grows and matures.
